A Call to Action

I am dismayed by the recent spate of announced changes with our defense department and foreign policy adjustments.  The U.S. media seems to be missing the broad implications these changes will have for our country, but we must not…  We all knew the congressional super committee’s failure to spare DoD a half trillion cut in future spending would hurt.  But I don’t think any of us thought Obama would then use the defense spending reductions — which he really doesn’t seem to be concerned over – as part of his rationale to shift our foreign policy and defense focus away from the Middle East to East Asia.  East Asia???

An abundance of Islamic terrorists pray daily for and actively seek the destruction of Israel, sponsor all forms of terrorism against the western world, and have a stranglehold on the foreign crude oil we are desperate for to avert economic collapse.  So, we’re now going to ignore this region altogether so we can focus our diplomatic and national defense focus on China and the Koreas….  That is akin to us giving up on securing the border with Mexico so we can shore up our defenses of the Canadian border to better protect the country from illegal immigration!!!  Of course, the Sunni militants in Baghdad are celebrating all of this with car bomb detonations in every public venue.  It’s just a matter of time before the entire region conflagrates into a third world war.  Obama’s policy shifts are accelerating these changes to a breakneck pace.

The level of incompetence in the executive branch of our federal bureaucracy is unparalleled in American history, unparalleled.   I daily reflect on the audacity displayed by our president as he dismantles our  military industrial complex, denigrates our standing as a superpower, and sabotages our economic engine to the point of abject failure.   A ‘Manchurian Candidate’ in the White House couldn’t do a more effective job of destroying all in this country that is noble or worthy.  Wait, isn’t Manchuria in East Asia?  But I digress…

I urge all freedom-loving citizens to do their part in removing this menace from the White House.  He is destroying our nation and our way of life.  First, pray unceasingly for this country and for the president to come to his senses for the remainder of his term in office.  Pray also that God will move on the hearts and minds of voters so they will reject the present anti-Christian course we’re on.  Next, tell your friends how disappointed you are with the president.  Continually pester your elected officials to oppose Obama’s plans.  Help promote and finance conservative candidates who openly reject Obama’s destructive policies and who promise to reverse the tide.

Note that NC is an important swing state in the upcoming presidential election.  By doing our part we can muster voters to register and vote for the republican candidate, helping to ensure Obama doesn’t again win our state’s electoral votes.  We can send money to and make calls for GOP candidates who are campaigning to restore fiscal conservatism in Washington and Raleigh and who profess Judeo-Christian values.  Only by praying and taking action to elect fiscal conservatives with biblically consistent dispositions will we be demonstrating our commitment to God and His plan for this world.

About James Madison

I was the fourth president of these United States. My wife Dolley and I are greatly disturbed with the erosion of your liberties and the encroachment of the present federal, state, and local governments. I was an original member of the Democratic-Republican Party in this country and I would welcome a return to the conservative values that united Democrats and Republicans in my day. Let's start with putting God back in our lives and our government so He will richly bless our endeavors in Lee County. Let's force our elected officials be more transparent and accountable to the electorate in fiscal and social matters. I look forward to hearing your ideas about these matters and others that are on your hearts and minds. Thank You for participating!

Frankly none of the republican candidates excite me, but if people like me stay home it will be 4 more years of Obama, so once again it looks like I will be voting Against rather than For someone. I greatly fear that we could lose
