Only 2,500 jobs added in NC in last year…

Say what? The Republicans have only had control for a few months.  So that leaves me to ask the question of Bob Huets and the previous BOC members (4 are still on board):

Exactly how are we benefiting from your relentless, backdoor incentive deals? Your mantra for so long was they added jobs, jobs, and more jobs.   The LCEDC promised at least 200 or more, didn’t they?  I’m sure somebody will check my calculation.

So how can it be explained that for ALL of NC only 2500 were added? Goodness we are fed so many lies.

Look at this, well, just  read this paragraph for yourself from the article:

“The state jobless rate was 9.7 percent in April, down from 11.1 percent a year ago. Yet, despite a number of corporate expansions, the number of people employed statewide increased by only 2,508 in that time, while the size of North Carolina’s labor force plunged by 67,963, according to the state Employment Security Commission.”

67,963 citizens lost their jobs! If there is ever any reason to dispose of such a useless good old boys club like the EDC this is the one.  Matter of fact, get rid of all the clubs in the state and create an elected position. Then the voters can give the boot when he/she/Bob fails.  Bet we wouldn’t have any more shameful deals like the one with Allied Crawford or the Jetport’s tenants that ran off to Halifax County.  Whereas now, the boys club is in power.  Time to go!

And to think Bob, his friends on the LCEDC and the city council were happy to increase the 2500 figure above at the expense of Lee county EMPLOYED citizens.
