The President has now offiially declared North Carolina as a major disaster zone. In addition, FEMA representatives will be back in Lee County today to begin reviewing sites for setting up offices for citizens to apply for federal aid. Once those locations are set and local phone numbers established we will forward that information to you.

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today announced that federal disaster aid has been made available to North Carolina to supplement the state and local recovery efforts in the area struck by severe storms, tornadoes and flooding on April 16, 2011.
