Now That Johnny’s “All Grown-up”…..

Dear Johnny,

I regret to inform you that 2+ 2 does not equal 5. Adding is a basic skill you should have learned in elementary school instead of how to use “ctrl, alt delete”. Therefore, your application for employment has been denied.

If you believe this has been sent in error, please contact Jeff Moss for further information on how to join “Learned Rosetta Stone But Can’t Add and Subtract” Organization. Membership is free courtesy of a line item hidden in the school budget under one of those secret codes. The BOE will take good care of you on your road to recovery.

I would also like to inform you that to make it in our business you should have learned to read, write and speak English.

Please call the LCEDC for a listing of any business in Lee County for further information.

Regards,

Human Resources Manager of any business in the world!

As usual in your attempts at satire you have screwed up. Not every business in the world requires English! Heck I can find jobs right here in Sanford where Spanish is required and English is just a second language. If you can set up a proper spreadsheet I don’t care if you think 2+2=5. honk

And as usual, you try your best to knock me down. Geez, I even offer to help you find employment and you still can’t find a reason to be nice.

Guess what! Want to do business with America? Better know some English.

And you better hope to God that a cashier knows 2 + 2 DOES NOT EQUAL 5. That is, unless you’re flying so high in the clouds the elevation is getting to you.

    I’m still right.

PH you will always be Right, but sometimes incorrect! honk
Yes to do business WITH America English helps, to do business IN America it helps but you can survive without it. honk
When was the last time you saw a cashier manually add numbers without a register or a calculator? My last time was at an Amish produce stand. honk?
